LINDA McCartney's frozen veggie sausages are facing the axe.
In 1994, 500,000 were sold - more than ex-Beatle husband Sir Paul's record sales.
The Linda McCartney line is still among the most popular frozen vegetarian food range in Britain.
But Heinz, which owns it, is poised to sell. A spokesman said: 'Sadly the sausages are under review. We will report back in nine months.'

The range was launched in 1991 and veggie Linda advised on packaging and design and promoted the products. When she died from cancer in 1998 it was worth 25million.
Sir Paul pledged to keep control of the brand after genetically-modified soya was found in some frozen sausages.
But in 1998, United Biscuits, which made all the products under licence to the McCartney family, sold to Heinz now said to be worth £190million. Sir Paul was unavailable for comment last night."
