Michael Jackson - Vegetarian - NOT

Michael Jackson vegetarian NOT
Michael Jackson was a vegetarian says the Hartford Examiner "Michael's promotion company AEG had been searching for insurance companies to cover Jackson on his upcoming tour. After rigorous testing, Jackson was found to be in excellent health. AEG’s Chief Executive Randy Phillips was quoted as saying, “He’s a vegetarian; he’s in great shape.”

In his 1988 book, Moonwalk, Jackson says, “I'm a vegetarian now and I'm so much thinner. I've been on a strict diet for years. I feel better than I ever have, healthier and more energetic.”

Michael Jackson’s father Joe and sister LaToya are believed to be vegetarians as well."

However it seems it's an "I don't eat steak" kind of American demi vegetarian Flexitarian vegetarian diet where Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pepperoni Pizza, Mexican Food and fish are included that Michael Jackson was on.

Anyway no doubt Michael Jackson has had a stressful few years and at least now he can rest in peace.

RIP

Thanks for the link to my article!

I still think, flexitarian or no, any reduction of meat products should be welcomed. Every little bit helps, though I agree - ideally no meat should be consumed.

I agree every little bit helps.

That's why we have welcomed Meat Free Monday, Meatless Monday, Meat Out Days.

It's not the effort I'm digging at it's the self rightious naive arrogance of people that just don't get it.

It's not that difficult a concept - Vegetarian is not killing - it's quite simple - people that think fish and chicken grows on trees like mangoes or bushes like cotton are just too lazy or self obcessed to engage their brain properly.

Perhaps vegan - no animal products, no animal suffering is an easier concept for these brainwashed carnivores to understand.

Oh yeah...I'm with you completely. My stomach turns when someone declares "I'm a vegetarian, too!" - and then it is discovered that they consume chicken or fish...I am just baffled. It is quite odd what a complex theory veganism and vegetarianism is to some folks.

I have the utmost of respect for vegans.

I guess we can at least be pleased in that animal friendliER diets are becoming increasingly more popular, rather than the other way round. Hopefully that will be a continuing trend.

Here's the dilemma -

Smokers actually save an economy money by not living so long - it may be similar with people that eat a lot of meat (like American Pro Footballers) that die early.

Maybe we should just go to McDonalds and everyone standing outside smoking just shake them by their hand and thank them for supporting the economy - contributing but then not living long enough to enjoy it so there's more for us?

Heard Magic Johnson tell a story about eating a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken with Michael Jackson. Presumably that took place during the early 90's or late 80's. However, MJ said in his book Moonwalker that he is vegatarian. Those two stories do not reconcile. Wondering if Magic Johnso was paid by KFC to tell that story. That would be worth 10's of millions of dollars in brand/product promotions.

Michael and Jermaine Jackson had a severe acne problem, the other Jackson's weren't soo bad. Jermaine became a vegetarian and started to have a more smooth skin. Michael decided turn out the grease food he was used to and also became a vegetarian, because he could stand his acne. I works. Later than, I guess the critical years had passed by, and he could go back to his KFC, which he loved. But still, no stake.

We could KILL the animal foods industry if we adopted a policy where vegans could still be vegans even if they ate meat once in a while.
