Tesco's Vegan Offer

Online Grocery Shopping & Delivery Service - Tesco.com

Tescos go Vegan (Tease)

Following Tesco's roasting by Viva Animal rights for using meat to make electricity (5/8/09 Telegraph) Tesco have asked The Vegan Society what it is that Tesco could do better for their vegan customers as part of a general review.

I'm sure you all have thousands of good ideas

Please let Tesco know what they are - send an email to customer.service @ tesco .co.uk with 'Make it Vegan' in the subject line

My ideas for Tesco's new vegan range were, first steps first, nice and easy 1) A healthy vegan sandwich 2) Take the unneccesary milk out of everything from baked beans and tomato ketchup to naan bread and sandwiches 3) Vegan Pizzas and Vegan Chocolate Cake.

and yes of course I gave them a recipe!

Part Time Vegans Invade Planet Earth

The vegan before dinner time diet - Times Online

part time vegan

Watch out cruel world - the peasants are revolting and they are turning vegan sausage by sausage.

More and more people are grasping the concept by Paul McCartney of part time vegetarianism. Mark Bittman of the New York Times claims to be Vegan before 6pm.

And why not? How many Catholics do you know who use a condom or don't eat fish on a Friday fryday, how many Jews do you know that have the occasional prawn or salmon or even worse the old bacon sandwich, or worse still a ham and cheese sandwich??

How many Christians do you know that work on a Sunday, or Jews who work Saturday, or Muslims who work Fridays and skip going to Mosque??

Why should vegans exclude themselves from the advantages and convenience of hypocrisy ?

Answers on a post card to The Sunday Times please

Now Vegetarians can damage their Livers Too!

vegetarian diet pill
Lipol™ | Home

Arrrgghh! Eureka! Now animal fat addicted cheese munching vegetarians can eat saturated animal fats to their heart's discontent and just pop a few of these diet pills to stop them absorbing fat onto their heart, clogging up their arteries and reshaping their bottom and belly.

Experts say timing is everything, however this they screwed up on as news breaks today of a new report on diet pills such as ALLI (the fat busting pill in the windows of almost every chemist and pharmacy in the UK) that suggests these miracle cure super magic bullet diet pills can increase the risk of liver damage.

The makers Glaxo Smithkline (GSK) have dismissed claims that the research proves diet pills such as Alli can cause liver damage, suggesting it's the fact that people are fat that makes them more prone to liver problems, not their miracle diet pills that they say can help fatties lose an extra 1lb a week - 3lb of weight loss per week instead of 2lb weight loss.

alli diet pill for weight loss

London Nutritionist Yvonne Bishop-Weston says "We were invited to help publicise these diet pills when they were first launched but we refused. We are opposed to them - they encourage the notion that people can eat the same unhealthy food and just take a diet pill to stop fat being absorbed into the body. These diet pills also perpetuate the myth that all fat is bad. Some fats are essential. It's too much saturated animal fat and processed vegetable fat in our diets that is the problem. Meanwhile many people actually have a shortage of the essential omega 3 fats and EPA which is needed for the healthy integrity of every cell membrane in the body and especially the body's vital organs such as the brain."

"Don't take these pills - eat more healthily, eat essential nutrient dense food rather than just belly enhancing calorie dense food" is the Nutritionist's message.

World Vegan Day Poll Revelations

World Vegan Day
World Vegan Day Poll This year is rather special for Vegans - It's 65 years since Donald Watson first inspired people to formally recognise his philosophy as vegan and help him form the world's first Vegan Society. World Vegan Day has been celebrated every year since the 50th / Golden Anniversary in 1994 but there's a determination that this year it will be one of the most special of all.

Never before has there been so much self reflection and looking forward with renewed pragmatic resolve.

Why is that after 65 years veganism still fails to flourish in the way it logically should? We have the evidence, it's better for the environment, it's more sustainable, it's better for health, it's better for people, it's more ethical - civilised society should embrace it wholeheartedly! What's holding the thinking majority back?

A World Vegan Day Poll asked vegan visitors "What would make your friends try veganism?" Unsurprisingly from a movement largely driven by a commitment to Animal Welfare the no1 result was

'Being taken around a slaughterhouse' with 31% of the Vote

Interesting though The World Vegan Day Poll reveals a more practical potential important focus area for vegan campaigns.

Better Vegan choices and dishes in Restaurants comes in a close 2nd with 28% of the vote

Previously Fresh Fast Food caterers such as Pret a' manger had started to address this issue with a range of inspired salads, vegetable sushi and the ubiquitious Hummous and roasted vegetable wrap - hell they even had Green & Blacks chocolate.

Then it's seems Julian Metcalf took his eye off the ball again and bits of creme fraiche (AARRGGGH!) or feta seemed to have unecessarily crept back in to all the plant based dishes (like they all needed a little extra saturated animal fat?????)

Still other restaurants that do take vegan plant based choices seriously are filling the gap. Restaurants such as Tibbits in Piccadilly, Itsu and the celebrated Leon chain have their eyes and hearts firmly fixed on Pret's lunchtime trade and the pre-theatre crowd too.

They are not alone though.

Following Sir Paul McCartney and Celebrity friends Meat Out Monday relaunch, and McCartney family arch rival Heather Mills' determination to take over the world with her globally franchisable V-Bites more and more caterers are begining to see the light.

Having equal value for money choices of equal quality on the nations menus, thus making it more convenient and more enjoyable to choose vegan can only result in one thing - more people choosing vegan - it's the only logical choice.

If we manage to remove that final excuse - "oh it's too difficult" then there is nothing stopping people apart from pure selfish greed and a masochistic suicidal obcession with destruction and torture.

World Vegan Day will be celebrated in London's second City - Croydon at an ECO-VEG Fayre and healthy family fun day at Croydon's legendary Fairfield Halls on Sunday November 1st. There will be a big emphasis on encouraging restaurants and cafes to include 100% plant based options on their menus at this event and during Croydon's Food Festival

Kate Moss - Vegan Fur Horror

kate moss, jamie Hince, Stella McCartney vegan fur crime Bunny Boiler - Kate Moss's vegan boyfriend Jamie Hince Fur Horror

It seems Bunny Boiler Kate Moss is bored with chain smoking Vegan boyfriend Jamie Hince, she's calling 'Drivetime' by dampening bed hopping with a warren's worth of rabbit car crash, a throw made of skinned bunnies that is making Jamie throw the towel and throwing up his arms and his guts in response to Kate's latest display of inhumanity.

Jamie's said to be hopping mad about her total disregard for his feelings on Rabbit fur and alleged to have said "it's me or the dead things"

Perhaps Jamie has had enough of Kate's zombie like sado-masochistic necrophilia loving.

What do we care? chain smoking Jamie is hardly a good advert for healthy sustainable ethical living.

Journalist Files Charges against WHO and UN for Bioterrorism and Intent to Commit Mass Murder

Journalist Files Charges against WHO and UN for Bioterrorism and Intent to Commit Mass Murder

swine flu plan legal fight

Which would you trust? A natural system that is dependent on health for survival and proliferation or a system that is dependent on ill health and suffering for survival and profit.

Looking at it logically it seems almost inconceivable that the idea of a ruling callous elite could be anything but mostly true. Even if you believe they are good rather than evil the responsibility of 'the greater good or rather 'Least Harm' would in any case at least lead them to consider 'solutions' to stem the overpopulation problem. We are running out of land, oil, clean air, clean water, food, humanity. We know that money makes the world go around, how much money it takes for instance to get an American president elected, we know that world companies are judged on profits not ethics by the representatives of the greedy share holders. We know that wars are fought not on ethical grounds but to protect rights for oil and gas pipelines, or for the oil itself, or simply sometimes to drum up business and profits for arms dealers, oil companies and pharmaceutical companies.

We know that human rights take a back seat (as with the Tamils in Sri Lanka) if there are no over-riding business interests and strategic gains to be made.

Should we be surprised? Genocide is still happening all over the world. It didn't start with Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime torturing and killing over 6 million Jews and Gypsies and it certainly didn't end there either. Africa, South America, China and Tibet, Russia, Iraq, Iran even in a young progressive country like Australia equal Human Rights are still under question (although it's sometime since they were accused of genocide or torture)

Instances of Human rights violations are worldwide. What evidence would lead us to logically presume our governments behaved any differently? If you were in power and faced with total economic and environmental collapse what would you do? Would you follow Nature's natural law and agree to a survival of the fittest for the higher common good of survival and wellbeing of the elite of the human race or would you fight for the rights of every last rapist, thief, liar, mugger, slanderer, murderer, serial adulterer, pedophile and lazy slovenly benefit leech out there?

Is it illogical to presume our governments will not consider the sick, the stupid, the poor and the unproductive as worthy collateral damage? Why not? They always have in the past.

Jane Burgermeister's dossier provides a compelling argument in the footstep's of many before her that our governments can not be trusted to look after our individual wellbeing and our salvation lies in individual self sufficiency and natural health.

No philosophy is foolproof but personally I favour the system that is dependent on health for survival rather than the system that is dependent on ill health and suffering for survival and profit.

Highlights from the complete dossier

Jane Burgermeister's complete dossier of the June 10th action is a 69 page document presenting evidence to substantiate all charges. This includes:

Factual background that delineates time lines and facts that establish probable cause, UN and WHO definitions and roles, and history and incidents from the April, 2009 "swine flu" outbreak.

Evidence the "swine flu" vaccines are defined as bioweapons as delineates in government agencies and regulations classifying and restricting vaccines, and the fear of foreign countries that "swine flu" vaccines will be used for biological warfare.

Scientific evidence the "swine flu" virus is an artificial (genetic) virus.

Scientific evidence the "swine flu" was bioengineered to resemble the Spanish flu virus of 1918 including quotes from Swine Flu 2009 is Weaponized 1918 Spanish Flu by A. True Ott, Ph.D., N.D., and a Science Magazine report from Dr. Jeffrey Taubenberger et.al.

The genome sequence of the "swine flu"

Evidence of the deliberate release of the "swine flu" in Mexico

Evidence as to the involvement of President Obama that delineates his trip to Mexico which coincided with the recent "swine flu" outbreak and the death of several officials involved in his trip. Contention is made that the President was never tested for "swine flu" because he had been previously vaccinated.

Evidence as to the role of Baxter and WHO in producing and releasing pandemic virus material in Austria includes a statement from a Baxter official stating the accidentally distributed H5N1 in the Czech Republic was received from a WHO reference center. This includes delineation of evidence and allegations from Burgermeister's charges filed in April in Austria that are currently under investigation.

Evidence Baxter is an element in a covert bioweapons network

Evidence Baxter has deliberately contaminated vaccine material.

Evidence Novartis is using vaccines as bioweapons

Evidence as to WHO's role in the bioweapons program

Evidence as to WHO's manipulation of disease data in order to justify declaring a Pandemic Level 6 in order to seize control of the USA.

Evidence as to the FDA's role in covering up the bioweapons program

Evidence as to Canada's National Microbiology Lab's role in the bioweapons program.

Evidence of the involvement of scientists working for the UK's NIBSC, and the CDC in engineering the "swine flu".

Evidence vaccinations caused the Spanish killer flu of 1918 including belief of Dr. Jerry Tennant that the widespread use of aspirin during the winter that followed the end of World War I could have been a key factor contributing to the earlier pandemic by suppressing the immune system and lowering body temperatures, allowing the flu virus to multiply. Tamiflu and Relenza also lower body temperatures, and therefore can also be expected to contribute to the spread of a pandemic.

Evidence as to manipulation of the legal framework to allow mass murder with impunity.

Constitutional issues: the legality vs. illegality of jeopardizing the life, health and public good by mass vaccinations.

The issue of immunity and compensation as evidence of intent to commit a crime.

Evidence as to the existence of an international corporate crime syndicate.

Evidence of the existence of the "Illuminati".

Evidence as to the depopulation agenda of the Illuminati/Bilderbergs and their involvement in the engineering and release of the artificial "swine flu" virus.

Evidence that weaponized flu was discussed at the annual Bilderberg meeting in Athens from May 14-17, 2009, as part of their agenda of genocide, including a list of attendees who, according to a statement once made by Pierre Trudeau, view themselves as genetically superior to the rest of humanity.

Heather Mills buys ‘ethical’ Redwood Wholefoods

Vegan Heather buys ‘ethical’ food firm to rival Linda McCartney’s | News

There I was dismissing this rumour as poetic licence and mere exagerated use of the "Royal we". I didn't doubt that Heather Mills had invested, she has her dollars in many ethical pies, but I just couldn't see Kieth and Rod retiring so early on.

Heather Mills Buys Redwoods, Vegan manufacturer

So public apology Heather! I stand corrected. You are the proud owner of the manufacturer of the best meat, fish and dairy free analogues in the world.

I wonder how long before we get a V-Bites in London? There's a lovely 300 year old pub around the corner from us in Croydon that needs saving and would make a LOVELY v-bites and Holistic Health centre and Arts centre.

This story even got into the Sun today - in their true inimitable libellous style.

"The animal rights campaigner - dubbed Mucca for her porn past - said: "Buying the company is a dream come true." - Redwood's Rod Garland said: "Heather shares our values."

I think that's the second time the Sun has used the word Vegan!

See also V- Bites Press Release

And review of V-Bites in Daily Telegraph

NB: Redwoods directors say they aren't retiring just yet and say that they have 'complementary skills' - That must be PR - I don't think Redwoods have ever had so much Free publicity as since they invited Heather to ho..., erm leap into bed with them.

Burger King Offends Hindu Lakshmi The Goddess

Burger King Offends Hindu Lakshmi The Goddess says rajan zed
Rajan Zed — Blogs, Pictures, and more on WordPress

Upset Hindus want apology from Burger King for denigrating goddess Lakshmi

Hindus have asked Burger King Corporation to publicly apologize and immediately withdraw a poster seen in Spain, which shows Hindu goddess Lakshmi promoting a meat sandwich, which they termed repugnant.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it was highly disturbing to see goddess Lakshmi, who is highly revered in Hinduism, modeling for a meat sandwich as shown. Lakshmi was meant to be worshipped in temples or home shrines and not for pushing meat sandwiches in the streets for mercantile greed of a global corporation.

The poster is titled “LA MERIENDA ES SAGRADA”, which roughly translates as “Snack is sacred” and shows a meat-cheese sandwich with few other products for 1.75 Euros. What was so ‘sacred’ about a meat sandwich, Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, asked.

Rajan Zed pointed out that Hinduism promoted strict vegetarianism insisting on ahimsa (not harming living creatures) and non-killing, and renouncing animal slaughter and meat eating. It suggested taking of sattvik (vegetables, fruits, etc.) and avoiding rajasik (eggs, etc.) and tamasik (meat, intoxicants, etc.) foods.

Zed argued that there was extensive protection of life in Hinduism and ahimsa was a command. It was a clear denigration showing a Hindu goddess patronizing a meat sandwich.

Burger King should create an internal team of senior ex ecutives who should clear all the publicity material before it went to the public and this team should be well trained. If Burger King wanted its executives to learn about world religions, he was willing to help, Rajan Zed added.

Launched in 1954 and headquartered in Miami (Florida, USA) with John W. Chidsey as Chief Executive Officer, Burger King Corporation is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world with over 11, 200 restaurants in 69 countries and revenue of over $2.2 billion. Over 11 million customers visit Burger King daily.

Lakshmi is the goddess of good fortune and beauty in Hinduism and is also known as ‘world-mother’. Hinduism, oldest and third largest religion of the world, has about one billion adherents and moksha (liberation) is its ultimate goal.

Michael Jackson - Vegetarian - NOT

Michael Jackson vegetarian NOT
Michael Jackson was a vegetarian says the Hartford Examiner "Michael's promotion company AEG had been searching for insurance companies to cover Jackson on his upcoming tour. After rigorous testing, Jackson was found to be in excellent health. AEG’s Chief Executive Randy Phillips was quoted as saying, “He’s a vegetarian; he’s in great shape.”

In his 1988 book, Moonwalk, Jackson says, “I'm a vegetarian now and I'm so much thinner. I've been on a strict diet for years. I feel better than I ever have, healthier and more energetic.”

Michael Jackson’s father Joe and sister LaToya are believed to be vegetarians as well."

However it seems it's an "I don't eat steak" kind of American demi vegetarian Flexitarian vegetarian diet where Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pepperoni Pizza, Mexican Food and fish are included that Michael Jackson was on.

Anyway no doubt Michael Jackson has had a stressful few years and at least now he can rest in peace.

Meatless Monday : Meat Free Monday Goes Global

Meatless Monday : One day a week cut out meat

Meat Free Monday - Meat Out Day - Meatless Monday and the concept of giving up meat for at least one day a week is going global.

Meatless Mondays allegedly originated during World War I when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration urged families to avoid eating meat on Mondays to conserve food for the troops and feed starving populations in Europe. There was also a project called “Wheatless Wednesdays.” The program came back into play at the beginning of World War II because meat was being rationed, and it became a way for women at home to support the war effort.

Currently, “Meatless Mondays” has reemerged as an international public health campaign in conjunction with Johns Hopkins University,FARM, PeTA, Paul McCartney, the UN, The Vegetarian Society and many others to help prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer.
